The case for dropping RPKI Invalid prefixes

This is a perspective from a tiny southeast-asian network that eventually decided to drop all RPKI Invalid prefixes. We compiled a list of IPv4 and IPv6 ASNs and prefixes we are likely to lose should we decide to drop the Invalids. The study is important to our understanding of the possible outcome as many of these Invalid prefixes are announced in our part of the world, and our customers/end-users also live/do business in this part of the world.

The presentation concludes with considerations that service providers may want to ponder on further before dropping Invalid and alternative uses of the RPKI ROV status if dropping Invalids is not an option.
